General Conference Questions

What is ACMP’s Change Management 2015 Regional Conference - Europe?
  • ACMP has been holding an annual conference since 2011. In 2011 and 2013, a European Change Management meeting was held in partnership with local supporting organizations. During the 2013 event in London, it was very clear that European Change Managers had a strong desire to get together with their peers for time to connect and learn.
  • The meeting this year will open with a reception the evening of Wednesday 16 September. There will be a full conference day on 17 September complete with Keynote Speaker, Daryl Conner, many educational topics, opportunities to connect and to learn about sponsors. On Friday, 18 September, there will be optional post-conference workshops by training providers. These workshops will be at an additional rate. If you sign up for both the conference and a workshop though you will be entitled to a discount.

What do I need to bring with me to the conference?
  • Just yourself and a great attitude ready to learn, network and have fun! You will receive your name badge when you check in on-site.

What should I wear?
  • We want you to be comfortable. Business casual attire is perfectly appropriate. The average temperature in Brussels in September is a High of 19 °C and a Low of 12 °C.

Can I get PMI PDU credit for attending the conference?
  • Yes, please follow the PMI rules for submitting relevant PDU's for Category B: Continuing Education. Under Category B, PDU credits can be earned by attending relevant educational courses, conferences, seminars, or symposiums by training organisations not registered with PMI. This can include a training offered by an employer, a professional association, or a non-R.E.P. training organisation. For a non-R.E.P. or community course, the registration form, certificate or letter of attendance, and a brochure or syllabus outlining the subject matter.

Can I get other CEU or PDU credits?
  • Yes, the learning sessions should qualify, but it will be dependent upon each organisation’s rules and regulations.

Agenda Questions

Where can I find the schedule for the conference?
  • Click here to see the outline of this year’s conference schedule. As sessions are selected and confirmed, the schedule will be updated. The Conference Planning committee is busy reviewing and approving speakers to set an outstanding agenda. Check back frequently for updates.

What time does the conference begin?
  • The conference officially kicks off with a Welcome Reception on Wednesday, 16 September. The first General Session with keynote speaker will begin Thursday morning.

What time does the conference end on Wednesday?
  • The conference itself will end no later than 18.00 Thursday, 17 September. There will be some Post-Conference Workshops on Friday, 18 September available. The titles and registration fees for these are on the website under Workshops. They are a separate registration and fee.

When will onsite registration and check-in be available?
  • You will be able to register on-site, check-in and collect your name badge on Wednesday, 16 September, 2 hours prior to the reception or on Thursday morning 17 September.

Registration and Payment Questions

What is the cost of attendance?
  • The cost of attending varies depending on several factors, including whether you are a member or non-member. To view a listing of all registration options please visit our Registration page. There are discounts for members and early registration. We encourage you to review the list of options so that you can take advantage of any eligible discounts.

What is included in the cost of attendance?
  • Your registration fee includes the General Sessions, all track sessions and the following meals and events:
  • Wednesday: Opening Reception 
  • Thursday: Morning Coffee, Morning Break, Lunch and Afternoon Break

How do I take advantage of the member rate?
  • For just $174 for North Americans or $119 for those outside of North America, you can join ACMP and take advantage of all the benefits of membership including discounted conference attendee registration fees for an entire year. Can I register for the conference over the phone?

Can I use a form of payment other than a credit card?
  • Credit cards are the primary form of payment for the conference. If you need to have an invoice and/or have to pay by check, please email

When should I register?
  • To ensure your seat at the conference, it is important to register early. Space is limited. As an additional incentive, there are discounts for registering early, so please take advantage of these offers!

What is your cancellation policy?
  • All cancellation and transfer requests must be received in writing to ACMP. Conference fees are transferable to another participant from the same organization ONE TIME only prior to 31 August 2015. Transfers that occur before 31 August 2015, will encounter a €50 transfer processing fee.

  • 5 June 2015 – 31 July 2015: €50 processing fee
  • 1 August 2015 – 31 August 2015: 50% of registration paid
  • 1 September - onward: 100% of registration paid

Where is the hotel located?
  • Change Management 2015 Regional Conference - Europe takes place in historic Brussels, Belgium. Hotel Metropole is a beautiful historic hotel with very reasonable group rates. Please visit the Venue page for booking details and information.

What airport do I fly in to?

How do I book a hotel room?
  • You can download the form here to reserve directly with Hotel Metropole and take advantage of the special ACMP discounted room rate.

What is the cost of the hotel room?
  • ACMP attendees can stay at the hotel for the very reasonable rate of €149 per night. This rate includes: Includes taxes (VAT), American Breakfast Buffet, Wi-Fi Connections and Mini Bar with 6 free drinks – 2 waters – 2 soft – 2 beers. The room block is limited and available only on a first come, first served basis, so it is recommended you make your reservations as soon as possible.

When is Check-in and Check-out at the hotel? Will I have to miss a morning session to checkout?
  • Hotel check-in time is 15.00. Check-out time is 12.00 late check-outs may be offered based on availability.

Guests and Location Questions

Can my family come with me?
  • ACMP encourages you to travel with your family to make the most of your time in Brussels. Friends and family of course can stay with you in your hotel room or can even take advantage of the discounted group rate in a separate room. Guests and children are unable to participate in the professional conference.

Will I have internet access?
  • Yes, your room rate includes wifi access.
